We always thrive to come up with a unique gift for showers or birthdays. For the Candy Coated Shower of a very dear friend we wanted to go all out. I bought all the clothes while my daughter created these awesome dividers and clothes pin. This has got to be one of my favorite all time gifts.

Blue outfit blues

I mentioned before that I have been having a hard time find cute outfits I like in plus sizes. I don't have any definite dates for any showers or parties, but I know that there will be some. The last few times I haven't had kids my friend and I did some shopping around town looking for options. I haven't purchased anything because nothing has jumped out at me. Here are a few outfits I like.

#1 - Blue Floral Dress

Robbie Bee dress at Dillard. Currently on sale for $55. I have a few Robbie Bee dresses and they always fit so nice. I didn't try this one on, but it is very simlar to a green one that I wore on Mother's Day.

#2 - Skirt and Tank outfit

Lane Bryant skirt and tank. The skirt is $49.50 and was really the only part of the outfit that I liked.

#3 - Dress with and without shrug

Lane Bryant dress. The dress is $69.50 and the shrug is $29.50. It was okay, but still didn't really flatter my figure.

#4 - Ebay Dress

Rockabilly Dress on Ebay. I have been watching this dress on ebay for a while. Right now it is 15% off, but I am still hesitant to make a purchase.

Which outfit do you like? I am open to other suggestions as well.

Finding cute fashions

I love seeing everyone's posts about adorable bridal shower outfits and rehearsal dinner dresses. I click the links and follow the yellow brick road hoping to find new places that I can look for adorable outfits as well. Most times I am disappointed to find that the sizes stop at XL or 12-14 :( BOO! Plus size brides want to look cute too!

Anyone one know of good sites with larger sizes??

Decision, Decisions

This Thursday Mr. B and I go to have our E-Pics taken. I am admittedly strong arming him into this a little. He isn't really a "picture taking" kind of guy. I am insistent we have these done because we don't have that many pictures of us together. We are lucky that I have relationships with multiple photographers in town.

Our last "family" pictures were taken by William F Bulter, who has done MANY of our family pictures & events, including my kids birthday parties. He is the photographer that we have booked for our wedding day (more on that later)

He would have done our engagement photos but I wanted to use another friend that is also a local photographer. Her name is Jill and she unfortunately doesn't have a website and she no longer shoots weddings. She did however do my Senior Portraits some time ago. I was in a musical this Christmas with her. During our many rehearsals for the musical we talked about her doing our engagement photos when Mr. B popped the question. I literally called her the next morning after we got engaged! It took about a month to get our schedules coordinated, but we found a day. We have discussed the types of photo we want. I definitely stress that we want "FUN" photos. We are going to start in her photography garden that she has next to her studio. Then we will be taking some down Main Street, which has some fun fountains, a lot of architecture. Take a look:

So now I have some decisions to make as far as outfits. I was gonna take pics of me IN the outfits, but Mr. B doesn't take the best pictures. You will just have to help with the use of the pictures from JCP.com.
